Matt Geake

Matt is a founding member of Kompact, originally from Cornwall but moved to Sussex to gain his Degree in Musical Theatre. Although he started with a passion for performing, he has now settled into more creative roles. He has extensive experience as a Musical Director and Vocal Coach; having worked across the south-east at a range of Schools, Academies and Colleges; but is now a full-time Head of Department at The Brighton Academy Drama School. In addition to being an experienced university lecturer, Matt is a vocal coach for professional performers both in technique, repertoire and audition preparation, and is an experienced vocal arranger having his work performed all over the UK.

Matt has also undertaken some in-depth vocal courses, training in the Estill method and in general voice production. 

During his time with Kompact, he has been lucky enough to make many friends in the Musical world on both sides of the pond.
