Kompact Theatre formed in 2009 with the idea of producing compact contemporary musical theatre. The company focus is on using material by contemporary composers who create work for smaller
casts and stripping away the need for large sets, costumes and props. The result is minimalist, innovative work that often challenges the barriers instilled by traditional musical theatre. The company came together through like-minded performers and technicians who wanted to stage
new or unheard musical pieces in a professional capacity. We have ‘Kompacted’ shows into bite size chunks to give our audiences an opportunity to see material which in some cases has only just hit
Broadway and could be months or years before it makes it across to the West End. Kompact boasts an experienced cast and production team whose training includes E15, ALRA, The London College of Music, Arts Ed and STAC. Performance, production and directorial experience spans stage and screen all across the UK and further afield in Japan, Italy, America, Spain and Australia.
Our passion and commitment makes us who we are, we are not trying to change the world through theatre we are trying to spread a little Kompact love and we would love you to be a part of it.
